The starting date is the week of September 21^st 2009 for all classes.

Classes are following the calendar of the public school that hosts efgb students.

We welcome students, families and staff to the efgb for a successful year of teaching and learning.  

efgb offers 4 programs corresponding to 4 levels of French language proficiency: 

Little-ones	Beginner	Intermediate	Advanced

The educational objectives of efgb are the following:

1.    Reinforcement of structured oral expression
2.    Development of reading comprehension and expansion of vocabulary
3.    Initiation or development of written skills
 

efgb is a non-profit association created by a group of Francophone and Francophile parents and teachers. We are attached to the French culture and language, and we wish to share the language with our children, giving them affordable, effective educational options. efgb was created to serve the growing demand on the part of Francophone families whose children do not attend educational establishments regulated by the French Ministry of Education.

efgb's teachers are French professionals, selected from the most competent and experienced candidates in the Boston area. They are up to date on educational techniques and adapt their methods to the abilities and needs of their classes, and according to the response of their students.

The general approach of efgb is interactive and playful (board games, Jacques a dit ["Simon Says"], portrait games, games of professions, crosswords, guessing games, Scrabble, Hangman, synonym games, etc.). The children learn to listen (poetry readings, songs, tales) and to create with words (creation of sketches, tales, presentations of previously read stories, rhyming games, etc.).
