Thank you very much for your interest in EFGB. It would be a real pleasure to welcome your child(ren) to our school, help him/her/them build a strong foundation for true bilingualism while inspiring them to strive for academic excellence and fueling their desire to learn.
As the situation with COVID-19 continues to develop, you probably have many questions about what school will look like next academic year. We would like to reinforce our commitment to meeting the challenges of this health crisis and to remaining strong and supporting each other as a community, as well as supporting our prospective students and families.
To ensure that we can provide our students with the safest and most productive start in the fall, we are actively exploring all options and developing various action plans based on the different scenarios that may occur so we can be proactive, and adapt quickly to the situation.
That being said, we are planning to open our school on September 1st, 2020. Unlike many private and public schools who will need to alternate between in-person and remote learning to be able to accommodate proper social distancing between students (and staff), EFGB will have enough space to welcome its students in-person at the same time. Thanks to our new campus (799 Concord Avenue, Cambridge), we have five additional classrooms to accommodate our current and new students, allowing for proper physical distancing.
In addition, we have created a “Sanitary Committee” who is working on defining what additional sanitation and hygiene measures will be required to keep our children and families safe, as well as planning on additional staff training to ensure we all follow the necessary measures to apply social distancing and keep our schools a safe environment. All procedures will be validated by the HCC, local health officials, as well as the Board of Directors.
If we were to close our campuses due to the COVID-19 crisis for periods of time, our teachers would continue to offer classes online and hands-on projects to do at home. EFGB would then offer a significant discount on the days that we would switch to remote learning, to support its families.
Finally – if you haven’t already – we invite you to check out our virtual tour. If you have any questions, please schedule a Zoom Virtual Information Session.
We hope to see you in the fall!
