The EFGB e-FLAM programs offer students educated in non-French immersion schools the opportunity to learn and practice French in a fun, creative and structured way, from home.

Just like our in-person extracurricular programming, our online afterschool program in French is designed to help students master the French language in speaking, reading and writing, while discovering and celebrating the francophone culture, and their bilingual identity.

Students have the opportunity to learn French in a dynamic setting, through academics, projects and creative activities; and families get access to a francophone community and network.

Au programme: French lessons, exercises, fun interactive games, and hands-on projects to do at home, to fuel students’ desire to learn French and stimulate their intellectual curiosity, imagination, and linguistic diversity.

All e-Flam programs are inspired by the French Educational Curriculum and taught by French native speakers, entirely in French.

LIVE CLASSES AND PACKAGES

We created custom programs that help students keep in touch with French language, vocabulary, and culture while meeting them where they are in their academic journey.

ONLINE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS CUSTOMIZED FOR EVERY LEVEL
 

The online version of our afterschool program is similar to our in-person one, in terms of levels and curriculum. Our curriculum parallels the school year and is divided into different levels, each containing 8 units, built around a theme with matching projects, vocabulary, spelling, and grammar exercises.

FORMAT:

  • We offer the same amount of learning hours as for our in-person program: 2 hours / 2x a week
  • Groups of 6 students maximum.
  • Classes managed via the Zoom platform
PREPARATION TO THE DELF JUNIOR/PRIM EXAM
 

This program is for children age 8-15

EFGB prepares students aged 8 and above to the DELF Junior/Prim (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française), an official qualification awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify the competency of candidates from outside France in the French language. The diploma, which is internationally recognized and valid for life, facilitates admission to universities in France and to many French-language academic institutions around the world.

The exams follow the Council of Europe’S Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and 4 competencies are evaluated:

  • Oral comprehension
  • Oral production
  • Written comprehension
  • Written production

We offer packages of 5 to 10 hours.

 
TUTORING CLASSES/SUPPORT CLASSES

We also offer one-on-one personalized online support classes to help children succeed academically, socially, and emotionally, at their own pace.

Programs, projects and schedules are customized to best fit students needs. Families and teachers decide together what areas the classes should focus on (ie. syntax/grammar, vocabulary expansion, confidence building, speaking, writing, spelling etc.), and when to meet via Zoom.

We offer packages of 5 to 10 hours.

Each class is 2 hours

Message from the Founder of EFGB:
 

In March 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to continue our after-school program online. We had to adapt quickly, which wasn’t easy, but it was also surprisingly stimulating and fun…for both our pedagogical team and our students. This experience gave us a renewed confidence in our ability to provide high quality and successful online educational programs.This is why we made the decision to take what we learned, and continue this online adventure. Thanks to our online offerings, we are able to serve more students and families who are either too far geographically or hesitant to do in-person activities given the pandemic. We are thrilled that, in these difficult times, we also got to renew and challenge ourselves and our pedagogical approach. We are very excited to launch these programs. As such, I hope that you will read through our offerings and be inspired to join us.

Le e-learning, c’est un outil formidable. Cela permets d’utiliser tout le potentiel créatif, intuitif et pédagogique qu’internet, les logiciels, les applications offrent. Aujourd’hui, les enfants naissent avec l’image, c’est le vecteur essentiel. En e-learning, tu utilises l’image. Ta leçon est animée, intéressante; les enfants peuvent la revoir à n’importe quel moment, tu rends ton cours beaucoup plus ludique. Grâce aux outils, le cours est plus ludique, et surtout plus efficace.
